This comment appeared on Mark Squire's Bulletin Board
recently and it spelled to the letter what we have been preaching for the
last six months. Our advise, to any collector/consumer with disposable
income, is to seriously look at the following wines to purchase over the
next few weeks because these are the ones that will be much harder to
find at good prices.
Robert Parker, April 14th 2006..."Prices will be very high for the 2005
firsts($5,000+ in USA dollars,Petrus and Ausone probably pushing
$7500-10,000 by year end)...and smart money will go back and re-
examine 2003,2000,1996,1995,and 1990"

We've always known that this wine would eventually turn out as great as the other First Growths. Jean Delmas always compared it to the 1959 and he was right. Recently Robert Parker stated that he's starting to agree and re-rated it 96 points. We have tasted the wine three times in the last month and it has been incredible each time.
"Robert Parker's Hedonist's Gazette - January 2005 Dinner. "...We then did a mini-horizontal of the five first-growths of the 1982 vintage. Haut-Brion seems to get better and better every time I taste it, leading me to believe I under-rated it. I am beginning to agree with Jean Delmas, who has always compared it to the 1959, I wine I have consistently rated (at least from pristine bottles) 100 points." Rating: 96 points
