This comment appeared on Mark Squire's Bulletin Board
recently and it spelled to the letter what we have been preaching for the
last six months. Our advise, to any collector/consumer with disposable
income, is to seriously look at the following wines to purchase over the
next few weeks because these are the ones that will be much harder to
find at good prices.
Robert Parker, April 14th 2006..."Prices will be very high for the 2005
firsts($5,000+ in USA dollars,Petrus and Ausone probably pushing
$7500-10,000 by year end)...and smart money will go back and re-
examine 2003,2000,1996,1995,and 1990"

After having tasted this wine numerous times we can tell you that it would be simply foolish not to pile it up in your cellar at the current price level. The wine is mindblowing!
"Unquestionably, the greatest Calon Segur since the 1982, this blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, and 10% Cabernet Franc exhibits an opaque plum/purple color along with gorgeous aromas of creosote intermixed with black cherries, cassis, licorice, and stony, liquid minerals. An amazing effort, full bodied and opulent, it possesses abundant tannin that is well concealed by the wealth of fruit, glycerin and intensity. This large scaled wine may be tremendous from release, but I suspect it will require patience. Given this estate's history of closing down for considerable time after bottling, despite how precocious the wine shows, look for it to be at its best between 2010-2040." 95+ points R. Parker
