The wines there are classic Margaux, with beautiful perfume, class and finesse. The 2004 is a classic beauty and, most of all, is an absolute steal at this price. "Although one of the appellation’s more tannic 2004s, the tannin is beautifully balanced by sweet black currant fruit, spring flower, camphor, and licorice notes. This impeccably well-made, medium-bodied Margaux reveals a lovely integration of acidity, tannin, and wood. Give it 2-3 years of bottle age, and drink it over the following two decades.
